Responsibilities

  • Supports management and leadership
  • Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
  • EMR (Electronic Medical Record) data entry
  • Obtaining vital signs on each patient
  • Assist physician with gathering patient history
  • Ensures patients are prepared for their planned procedures including proper education, follow-up plans and post procedure instructions
  • Draft preliminary reports and letters for the physician through the EMR system
  • Present reports and letters to physician for revision and final approval
  • Greet patients and escort them to the exam rooms
  • Fit and measure patients for compression stockings
  • Take before and after pictures of patients
  • Assist with the preparation of medications and filling syringes, as permitted by state law
  • Ensure that rooms are stocked accordingly
  • Assist the Ultrasound Tech with the ordering of all medical supplies
  • Clean and prepare rooms
  • Assist with room and tray set up for patient procedures
  • Prepare and maintain charts for new and existing patients. Verify that all information is correct and up to date
  • General administrative duties as directed by Office Manager
  • Confirm insurance benefits as noted on patient chart
  • Demonstrating knowledge of scheduling
  • Strong organization with attention to detail
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) preferred
  • Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
