Responsibilities

The Enterprise Operations Associate role is a unique, cross-departmental role designed to train and develop future operational leaders at New York Bariatric Group and in the broader space of healthcare management/business development. This is a full-time, rotational position that offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple departments within NYBG. While in this role, you will learn about our company (and the US healthcare industry in general) from all levels and all angles of a highly successful private surgery practice.

Over the course of approximately 4 months, associates will rotate through key parts of the organization, including:
• 1 month in our Patient Access Center (Call Center): Learn patient flow, scheduling systems, and frontline communication.
• 1 month rotating across the Roslyn Heights, Hewlett, and Farmingdale front offices (including time shadowing an office manager, a patient care concierge, and a surgical coordinator)
• ½ month working with the cosmetics/plastic surgery department
• ½ month across revenue cycle departments (Accounts Receivable, Financial Clearance, Credentialing, Coding, and Payment Posting)
• ½ month working with the Marketing team
• ½ month working in systems administration and reporting/analytics (Salesforce, EHR/PM platforms, other clinical systems)
• Per diem rotations in various clinical and non-clinical departments: Gain direct experience in surgical coordination, clinical operations, front-desk workflow, and back-office functions.
Following this rotation, the Enterprise Ops Associate will work regularly with the Enterprise Operations Team to accomplish both project-based goals and to provide additional support to any department across the organization that needs it. The ultimate goal of this position is to help you identify your areas of interest within the healthcare industry while helping drive growth and innovation for the practice. This role is a leadership pipeline opportunity that provides the framework for a path toward future management roles in a growing, private equity-backed surgical healthcare organization.
